Sleek and Dynamic Design

Exterior Elegance

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander boasts a sleek and dynamic design that captivates from every angle. Building on the success of its predecessor, the new model introduces refined aerodynamics and bold styling elements. A prominent grille, accentuated by chrome details, makes a powerful statement, while sculpted lines and carefully crafted contours contribute to the SUV's overall athletic profile.

Distinctive Lighting

The front end is adorned with striking LED headlights that not only enhance visibility but also add a touch of modern sophistication. The incorporation of LED taillights at the rear completes the cohesive and distinctive lighting signature, ensuring that the 2024 Grand Highlander is a head-turner day or night.

Wheel Options

Buyers will have a range of wheel options to choose from, allowing for personalization and the ability to tailor the SUV's appearance to individual preferences. From sleek 18-inch alloy wheels to larger and more adventurous 20-inch options, the Grand Highlander caters to various tastes and styles.

Spacious and Luxurious Interior

With a larger cabin than the regular Highlander model, the Grand Highlander truly lives up to its name. The Grand Highlander's larger size is best utilized in the third row of seats, which has ample room for two adults. Additionally unique to the Grand Highlander's exterior design is its more symmetrical dashboard. The entry-level Grand Highlander model, the XLE, has many convenient features that will appeal to families, such as heated front seats, a power-operated liftgate, second-row window shades, and numerous USB and power outlets located throughout the cabin. There is room for eight passengers when the second-row bench seat is installed, but customers who prefer a seven-seat configuration can swap that bench out for a captain's chair.

A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Toyota's most recent software interface is standard on all models. A 7.0-inch digital display in the gauge cluster is also included, but Limited and Platinum models have a larger 12.3-inch all-digital gauge display. Every model comes equipped with a wireless smartphone charging pad for customers to use. Upgrades to the 11-speaker JBL stereo are available for the Limited and Platinum models.

Efficient Performance and Hybrid Power

The Grand Highlander is available with three different powertrain options, two of which are shared with the standard Highlander model. A 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 265 horsepower, front- or all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic gearbox make up the standard configuration. The hybrid drivetrain of the Grand Highlander Hybrid, which generates 245 horsepower from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors, is the same as that of the Highlander Hybrid.

The Hybrid Max powertrain, which combines an electric motor and turbocharged 2.4-liter engine to produce a net output of 362 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, will be featured in the top-spec model. The Hybrid Max outperformed the nonhybrid Grand Highlander in our testing, reaching 60 mph in 5.6 seconds as opposed to the nonhybrid's 7.0 seconds. The Grand Highlander can move mountains more quickly than the Honda Pilot with a V-6 engine thanks to both powertrains. Except for a steering wheel that feels too light, the Grand Highlander is a good vehicle for errand running, kid toting, and road trips. However, it won't make a driver's heart race on a winding road.

Technological Innovations

Digital Cockpit

The 2024 Grand Highlander introduces a state-of-the-art digital cockpit, featuring a customizable digital instrument cluster that provides drivers with crucial information at a glance. This high-tech addition enhances the overall driving experience, allowing for personalized configurations and easy access to vital data.

Wireless Charging and Connectivity

Recognizing the importance of staying connected, the Grand Highlander comes equipped with wireless charging capabilities for compatible smartphones. Multiple USB ports are strategically placed throughout the cabin, ensuring that every passenger can charge their devices conveniently.

Panoramic Sunroof

A panoramic sunroof floods the interior with natural light, creating an open and airy atmosphere. The expansive sunroof enhances the overall sense of spaciousness, making each journey a visually immersive experience.

Tailored for Adventure

Driver-assistance technology

Toyota has installed a suite of driver-assistance technologies known as TSS 3.0 on all Grand Highlander models. The package comes with automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlamps, and a road sign recognition system in addition to standard features like blind-spot monitoring.

Towing Capacity

The Toyota Grand Highlander has a maximum pulling power of 3500 pounds for the 245-hp hybrid model, 5000 pounds for the 265-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four (FWD and AWD models), and 362-hp Hybrid Max variant. The maximum trailering weight for the smaller Highlander model with its gas engine is 5000 pounds; however, for the Highlander Hybrid, it is only 3500 pounds.

Versatile Cargo Space

Versatility is key, and the Grand Highlander delivers with flexible cargo space. The third-row seats can be easily folded down to create additional cargo room, accommodating everything from groceries to large sports equipment with ease.

Environmental Sustainability

Eco-Friendly Materials

Toyota's commitment to sustainability extends to the materials used in the construction of the 2024 Grand Highlander. Eco-friendly materials are incorporated where possible, contributing to a reduced environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of the vehicle.

Hybrid Efficiency

The hybrid model of the Grand Highlander further exemplifies Toyota's dedication to reducing carbon emissions. By combining electric power with a fuel-efficient engine, the hybrid variant not only enhances fuel economy but also minimizes the ecological footprint of each journey.
